# Coucou — name, character and artwork
Copyright (c) 2026 Louis Raillé. All rights reserved, except as stated below.
The [MIT License](LICENSE) covers the **source code** of Coucou. It does **not** cover the brand and the artwork listed here, which remain the property of Louis Raillé:
- the names **“Coucou”** and **“Mochi”**;
- the **Mochi character** — its design, look, expressions and animations as a character;
- the **app icon** and **menu bar icon** (`NotchBuddy/Assets.xcassets/`);
- the **sounds** (`NotchBuddy/Resources/sounds/`);
- the **images, GIFs and videos** in `docs/media/` and `design/`.
## What you can do
- Build and run Coucou from this repository, for yourself, as it is.
- Fork it and contribute back with pull requests.
- Show, review, write or talk about Coucou (articles, videos, posts), including screenshots and the demo media.
## What you can't do without written permission
- Publish or distribute an app, a fork or a derivative work under the name “Coucou” or “Mochi”, or with the Coucou icon, the Mochi character or the Coucou sounds — on the App Store, on GitHub releases, or anywhere else.
- Use any of these assets commercially, or in a way that suggests your project is Coucou or is made or endorsed by its author.
If you fork Coucou to ship your own app, that's welcome under the MIT License: just give it **your own name, icon, character and sounds**.
